Volkswagen introduced DSG across a broad range of Australian passenger and commercial vehicles. Depending on engine, build year and drivetrain, a Volkswagen may use a dry-clutch or wet-clutch DSG with different servicing and repair requirements.

Audi commonly uses the S tronic name for its dual-clutch transmissions. These share DSG principles but span transverse and longitudinal gearbox families, so an Audi A3 and an Audi A4 can require completely different service and repair procedures.

Škoda uses Volkswagen Group DSG technology across many Australian models. Dry-clutch and wet-clutch versions are both common, so the correct gearbox code and drivetrain must be identified before service or repair.

CUPRA performance models use Volkswagen Group dual-clutch technology across a number of petrol and plug-in hybrid variants. Gearbox type differs with powertrain, so exact identification remains essential.

SEAT vehicles share Volkswagen Group DSG technology. While many are imported or less common in Australia, the same gearbox-family identification principles apply.
